The San Manuel Band of Mission Indians employs a variety of support and professional personnel to assist in the daily operations of tribal government. Since 1986, the casino has grown from a few hundred employees to a work force of over 3,000 casino employees. We are looking to add enthusiastic, dedicated people to work in a variety of positions to support our casino property. Whether working on the casino floor or providing support to gaming operations as a “behind the scenes” employee, you can contribute to a dynamic and challenging business and have opportunities to learn and grow with the industry. As part of casino employment, those considered for hire must undergo and successfully pass an extensive pre-employment background investigation conducted by the San Manuel Gaming Commission to obtain and maintain a Gaming License issued by the San Manuel Gaming Commission.
Native American Employment Preference
In accordance with, and subject to applicable law, including Title VII of the Federal Civil Rights Act, which recognizes that under certain circumstances, Native American employment preferences are necessary and appropriate to promote tribal self determination. It is the mission of the San Manuel Band of Serrano Mission Indians to further economic independence among all Native American peoples and their communities by extending employment preference across all employment opportunities for suitably qualified Native Americans. This employment preference policy shall be construed to mean that an individual Native American who satisfies the minimum employment qualifications for a particular position will be afforded preference over all other individuals, and that in situations where two or more Native Americans are being considered for employment that there is a distinction between qualification and preference. Thus, this policy's application is the determining factor when two or more individuals have suitable job qualifications - the individual having preference standing shall be afforded the employment opportunity.
